Why Drue Moved East

When we came out to New Jersey in August 2008 looking for a place to live the view of New York City from across the Hudson River swept Drue off her feet. She doesn't want to be in the concrete jungle and is just fine with gazing at it from Weehawken. It is really cool how they change up the lights on The Empire State Building.

The Subway ride would not be so bad if Kaden didn't think he has to dance around the poles and put on a show for all the passengers. Dave has informed us all that if some of us get on and some don't get on, to make sure and get off at the next stop. He also would like to put the lesson to the test as he proceeds and finds it funny to run down the stairs and hop on the subway when the doors are open to see if we can keep up.

Lady Liberty is quite nice and we hope to get on the list to walk up now that it has been re-opened to go higher than the bottom pedestal. Dave thinks she is over-rated and was somewhat dissappointed when he first saw it. The movies gave him a false perspective. Kaden originally thought it was Jesus, but is now a learned child and calls her Statue of Wiberty.

Without fast food lanes in Rexburg Drue has expanded her life long dream of Betty Crocker skills.
